I’m from Nepal, which is full of mountains. I like cycling, trekking and mountaineering. Since I was a kid, I’ve liked mathematics. At the same time, I liked experimenting with things. Physics was one place where I could follow both my interests, doing experiments and calculations at the same time. Now I’m a graduate student working on DUNE. I enjoy that DUNE is an international collaboration where I can meet people from across the globe. I work on one of the prototype detectors for DUNE. I did work on the hardware for the high-voltage system, and now I’m focused on figuring out how we can calibrate the detector when taking data with cosmic muons. I like that I get to do both installation and data analysis for this project.
